Janice Ann (Glisky) Heggestad

Janice Heggestad, of Montevideo, formerly of Granite Falls, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 85.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Granite Falls.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday.

Janice Ann Glisky was born September 23, 1938, in Swift County, MN, was the daughter of George and Martha (Berhnes) Glisky. She attended school in Holloway, MN and married Richard Heggestad on July 23, 1955, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo, MN. After marrying, Janice and Richard moved to Alaska but returned to Minnesota in 1961, settling in Dawson. There, Richard ran the City Cash Market and Locker while Janice worked with him. They moved to Granite Falls in 1986, where Janice worked at Carl’s Bakery for many years. She enjoyed baking, collecting angels, and visiting the casino. Above all, Janice valued her family and supported her children and grandchildren in their many activities.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Richard; children, Mark (Darlene) Heggestad of Jacksonville, FL, Chad (Jennifer) Heggestad of Kimball, MN, Missy (Les) Streich of Waite Park, MN and Jason (Charleanna) Heggestad of Granite Falls, MN; grandchildren, Cody Blum, Jurnee Hastings, Alex Heggestad, Sydnee Heggestad, Kailee Heggestad, Falynn Cosgrove, Natasha Pedersen, Chantel Heggestad, Matt Heggestad, Sofia Streich, Yvette Hansen, Michael Allen and Brieanna Iversen; four great-grandchildren; and several extended family and friends.
