Jayne Johnson, of Montevideo and formerly of Milan, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at her home in Montevideo at the age of 68. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan. Rev. Jay Grave will officiate and interment will be at Kviteseid Lutheran - Milan Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with the family present from 5-7:00 PM. Jayne Marlys (Olson) Johnson was born December 17, 1940 at Milan, MN the daughter of Elmer and Helen (Frederick) Olson. She graduated from Milan High School in 1958. Jayne was united in marriage with Verlin Johnson. They moved to Milan in 1970 and she managed the Carlson Doll Factory of rural Milan until it closed in 1993. She then was a nurses aid at the Appleton Nursing Home from 1994 until June of 1999 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Jayne moved to Montevideo in 2003. She was active at Kviteseid Lutheran Church. She enjoyed garage sales and served as a care-giver to several people with cancer. Jayne collected angels and hats. She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Bob) Raveling of Montevideo, MN; step-children: Dave (Janet) Johnson of Andover, MN, Cathy (Steve) Teske of Odessa, MN, and Sandy Johnson of Montevideo, MN; grandchildren: Josh (fiance Ashley) Raveling, Jason and Heidi Haas, Jeremy and Hilary Johnson, and Jonathon and Jerry Johnson; great-grandson, Carson; brothers: Kip (Bonnie) Olson and Dennis (Lorraine) Olson all of Cottage Grove, MN; sister, Corrine (Donnie) Hallaway of Appleton, MN; sister-in-law, Judy Olson of Hugo, MN; and half-brother, Donald (Ginny) Olson of Bemidji, MN. Preceding her in death were parents; her husband, Verlin in 1992; step-son, Jeff Johnson; grandson, Eli Haas; and brother Dean Olson.
