Jean M. Dalen, of Owatonna, MN, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at her home in Owatonna at the age of 88. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Watson, MN
Jean Marie Dalen was born on April 5, 1926 in Sedro Woolley, WA, the daughter of Elmer and Anna Johnston Stark. She worked at the Owatonna Canning Company for 44 years until she retired in 1996. She enjoyed going to auctions, gardening, reading, crafting, shopping with her daughters and going to the Steele County Free Fair especially Steely and Stella. Above all else she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Norma (Duane) Shrupp, of Cleveland, MN, Richard (Joanne) Dalen, of Owatonna, MN, Russell Dalen, of Owatonna, MN, Celeste Dalen Kempka, of Highland, CA., Robin (Rodney) Stoen, of Blooming Prairie, MN., 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Troy, a great-grandson, Aaron and by 7 brothers and sisters.
