Jean Krenz, 73, of Maynard, died August 8, 1995 at the Granite Falls Municipal Hospital after a short illness with cancer.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, at 1:30 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Havelock. Rev. Richard Hamlow will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Saturday. There will also be a prayer service Friday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
Jean Olis Mann was born October 11, 1921 in Lone Tree Township, Chippewa County, MN the daughter of Frank and Alma (Sell) Mann. She attended school and grew to adulthood there. Jean was baptized at the Methodist Church in Raymond and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Havelock. She was united in marriage with Marvin Krenz October 6, 1940, at the Methodist Church in Raymond. They made their home on a farm in Grace Township, Chippewa County, MN. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Havelock Ladies Aid and was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Jean enjoyed gardening, crafts, and sewing.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; two daughters: Marlene Bang and her husband Robert of Murdock, MN and Wanda Schmidt and her husband Darryl of Alexandria, MN; four grandchildren: Aaron, Ali, April, and Abram; two brothers: Frank (Eileen) Mann of Melbourne, FL and Darrel (Jeanette) Mann of Montevideo, MN; one sister-in-law, Elta Broers of Clara City, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Joyce Sankey.
