Jessica Lynn Thaemlitz came into this world smiling on February 28, 1984, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital in Montevideo, MN, to proud parents, Scott and Cynthia (Montag) Thaemlitz. Jessica was baptized on May 20, 1984, and celebrated her confirmation on May 16, 1999, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd, MN. She attended school at Dawson-Boyd Elementary and High Schools, graduating in June of 2002. With her usual enthusiastic character, Jess continued her quest to further her education, first at Ridgewater College in Willmar, graduating in 2006, and then on to St. Cloud State University to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in 2009, majoring in Biomedical Science with a minor in Psychology. In Jessica's young life she accomplished many things personally and professionally. For the past several years she has been working at Trobec's Bar, Grill and Catering. During this time, Jessica's responsibilities grew. At Trobec's, Jess used her many talents-bar tending allowed her to use her amazing personality, which developed into numerous loyal customers. Jess also had great skill sets in event planning and organizing, as well as decorating. No event was too big or small for Jess; she always gave 110% to whatever she was planning. Traveling was another of her passions and she took every opportunity to see the world. She traveled extensively in Europe, Florida, Mexico, Canada, South Carolina, and Oregon and went on numerous family vacations. Jessica was always interested in meeting new people and learning about other cultures. Jess loved adventures and could easily persuade her family and friends to go with her, even when the adventure was skydiving. Jess was an avid outdoors person. She shared many special moments while hunting and fishing with her dad, grandfather, brother and several other family members. She had a great love and respect for animals, especially the family dogs. Her caring and giving nature shined so brightly whenever she was caring for children, family or friends. Jess believed in helping those in need, donating to many charitable causes and even giving her hair to Locks of Love. She was a spiritual person and loved her church and church family, never forgetting her faith. Recently, Jess said to her mom, "If I died today, I would die happy because I live my life to the fullest." Jess loved her family and cherished her friends. She will be remembered for so many things: she was a wonderful daughter, sister and granddaughter; and she was a great friend who could always make you laugh, comfort you when you were crying and most of all, just listen while you shared your feelings. Jessica passed away on May 1, 2010. "The song has ended, but the melody lingers on..."
