Joan Hanson

Joan Hanson died Monday, September 9, 2024 at Divine House in Dawson at the age of 80.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.  Interment will be at 2:00 PM Monday, September 16 at St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery, rural Odin, MN.

Joan Marie Hanson was born May 27, 1944 in Minneapolis, MN to Lorraine Hanson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.  Joan attended school and lived with her grandparents in Odin.  She lived and worked at various places before settling in the Willmar and Atwater area.  She moved to Dawson in 2012.  Joan was happy and friendly.  She had a contagious smile and loved interacting with others.  She enjoyed puzzles, crafts, and playing a variety of board games.  She also enjoyed watching classic TV shows and the MN Twins.

She is survived by several cousins and a close friend, Linda.

Preceding her in death were her mother and other extended family members.
