John Strand

John Strand, of rural Milan, died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the St. Cloud Municipal Care Center at the age of 81.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Kviteseid Lutheran Church.  Rev. Kristine Isder will officiate and interment will be at Kviteseid Lutheran - Milan Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the service.

John was born on August 21, 1937 in Milan, MN to Henry and Lila (Christenson) Strand.  He attended Milan school.  Farming was John’s life.  He farmed the family farm for many years where he worked on old tractors, baled hay, and cared for the animals there.

He is survived by his mother, Lila; several cousins and special cousin, Bonnie (Loren) Kavanagh.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry.
