Jonathan Kenneth Dahl was born on June 12, 1979, in Montevideo, MN, to Richard and Becky (Tostenson) Dahl. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Jonathan graduated from Montevideo High School in 1998 and went on to attend Southwest State in Marshall. He had a deep love for spending time on Lake Miltona, where he enjoyed boat rides, fishing, and being with family. He also enjoyed playing cards with his special friends at Parkview Tower, attending the races at Fiesta City Speedway with his brother and Mom, and playing pool with Grandpa Kenny and his brothers.

Jonathan was born prematurely and struggled with health issues for his whole life. However, he did not let that keep him down. Each time he was hospitalized it was no question he would recover. In the high school play he played Tiny Tim, and went with the high school choir on a bus trip to New York. He was proud that he was able to walk up the steps to the top of the Statute of Liberty and back down again. He still remembered how many steps there were. He went with his family on a bus tour to attend several baseball games from the Midwest to the East Coast. Jonathan enjoyed his work at the C-Store, Burger King, Sunbrite Cleaning, and Goodfellows and wasn't afraid to let them know how things should be done. Jonathan will be remembered for his strong will, sense of humor, and the meaningful conversations he shared.

Jonathan is survived by his mother, Becky; brothers, Chad Dahl and Jordan Dahl; half sister Kelly Kremers, Grandmother Darlene Tostenson, and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; grandparents, Kenneth and Sally Tostenson, and Irven and Evelyn Dahl; uncles, David Dahl and Douglas Dahl; aunt, Nancy Tostenson; and cousin, Travis Williamson.
