Joyce Lindquist, Dawson, died Thursday, January 30, 2020 at her home in Dawson at the age of 72.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Rev. Kendall Stelter will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 5-7:00 PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson with a prayer service at 6:30. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before the service.
Joyce Ann Lindquist was born in Montevideo, Minnesota to Glenn and Evelyn (Jerde) Hoyum. She attended Dawson High School and graduated in 1966. She worked at Johnson Memorial Care Center in Housekeeping and as an aide for over 38 years. She retired on October 27, 2017.
Joyce was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching sports, going to Jackpot with her sister and brother-in-law. Dinner and lunches with her friends was very important to her. She always looked forward to their time together and it meant a lot to her. Family will remember that she enjoyed baking many of their favorites for gatherings, especially Scotcharoos which was an automatic request. Joyce shared her love of animals whether they were hers or her families often sending photos of the fur babies while people were gone for the weekend or on vacation.
Joyce is survived by her children: Lane (Lisa) Lindquist, Big Stone City, SD, Chad (Kei) Lindquist, Gaylord, MI, Jen Lindquist, Golden Valley, MN; grandchildren: Ryne (fiancé Hyorim) Lindquist, Cameron (Lexy Flann) Lindquist, Hailie Lindquist, Leif Lindquist, Lance Lindquist, Landon Lindquist, Harper Williams-Lindquist; one great-grandchild: Bentley Flann; sister: Beverly (Stan) Defries, Mankato, MN as well as extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
