Judith Gjerset, 75, of Benson, MN died October 11, 1994 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 1994 at 11:00 A.M. at Watson Lutheran Church. Rev. Robert Rendahl will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before services.
Judith G. Nordby was born October 22, 1918 at Benson, MN the daughter of Ingvar and Tillie (Knutson) Nordby. She attended rural and Kerkhoven schools. Judith was united in marriage with Walter Gjerset December 22, 1939. They made their home and farmed in Big Bend Township, Chippewa County, MN until moving into Benson in 1991. She was active in many church groups.
She is survived by her husband, Walter; one daughter, Marlene Teigen and her husband Dale of Coon Rapids, MN; one son, Douglas and his wife Dianne of Hoffman, MN; five grandchildren: Andrea and Andrew Beede, Robert and Alma Teigen, Kathryn Teigen, Kristin Gjerset, and Karin Gjerset; one great-granddaughter, Carolynne Beede; one brother, Elmer Nordby and his wife Gladys of Minneapolis, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Thomas; and three brothers: Howard, Lloyd, and Richard.
