Judy Marie (Mitlyng) Marshall, 62, of Dowd Avenue, Canton, CT passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009 at home. Graveside memorial services wiil be held on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Baxter Township Cemetery, rural Montevideo. Funeral service were held Tuesday, May 12, 7:30 p.m. at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton, CT with the Reverend Edward Falsey officiating. Burial and graveside services will be in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Baxter Cemetery of rural Montevideo, MN at a later date. Local funeral arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Judy Marie (Mitlyng) Marshall was born July 22, 1946 in Montevideo, MN daughter of the late Arnold "Dave" and Agnes (Belsaas) Mitlyng, and had lived in Santa Barbara, CA after graduating from nursing school. She married the late James A. Marshall and moved to Connecticut, where she has resided for the past 40 years. Mrs. Marshall was a nurse at Sheridan Woods in Bristol, CT for many years, and most recently at the Governor's House in Simsbury, CT. Her many interests included gardening and traveling. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend, and will be dearly missed by all that were close to her. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Veronica (Marshall) and Christian Renstrom of West Harford, CT and Michelle (Marshall) and Scott Reeves of Winsted, CT; a son, James Marshall and his fiancee Laura Manning of Canton, CT; two granddaughters, Jacqueline and Victoria Renstrom; two grandsons, Thomas and Richard Reeves; a brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Marion Mitlyng of Montevideo, MN; a sister and brother-in-law, Beth (Mitlyng) and Paul Gustafson of Montevideo, MN; several nieces and nephews and many good friends including Sherrie Gioia, Mary Hok and Angie Sniedeman, who shared countless special moments together. She was predeceased by her fiance Bob Krause after many years of traveling and enjoying life together.
