Judy Mork, of Montevideo, died on Friday, March 5, 2004 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 97.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Our Saviours Lutheran Church of Baxter with Rev. Charlie Bunk officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Judith Regina Mork was born on October 1, 1906 in Baxter Township of Lac Qui Parle County, MN to Hans and Julia Mork. She, along with her twin brother Henry, were the third set of twins to be born in the Mork family.  She was baptized on November 4, 1906 and confirmed on December 4, 1921 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter.  She attended school at Lac Qui Parle County District #30.  In the mid 1930's she was employed at Swift & Co. in Montevideo.  She lived with her brother Bernhard on the home farm in Baxter Township, caring for her parents until their deaths.  Following the death of her brother Ben, she lived alone on the farm until moving to Copper Glen in Montevideo in July of 1998.  In August of 2001 she moved to Luther Haven. Judy loved caring for livestock and farming.  She was an outdoors person, loved going fishing at Lac Qui Parle Lake and was always interested in other persons fishing luck.  Judy was a life-long member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter, sang in the church choir for many years and was active in its women’s groups and Bible Studies.  She was a member of Gudbrandsdals Laget National.  Judy enjoyed her family and her determination to visit relatives in Gudbrandsdal, Norway was accomplished in July of 1992.  In 1994, Judy made a trip to Wasilla and Sitka AK to visit relatives there.  She also made numerous trips to Oregon to visit sisters and brothers.  Judy also hosted the Mork family Century Farm Reunion on July of 1991.

Judy is survived by two sisters: Wilma Wilkinson and Frances Warner, both of Lebanon, OR; nieces and nephews: Avis Hegland of Madison, MN, Juliet Christianson of Sweet Home, OR, Carlton Bonrud of Elbow Lake, MN, Elsie Holtan of Dawson, MN, Bernita Jorgenson of Benson, MN, Leon Mork of Sitka, AK, Melany Messinger of Wasilla, AK, Michael Warner of Eugene, OR, Joanna Torrey of Portland, OR, John Wilkinson of Portland, OR, and Bruce Wilkinson of Lebanon, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, Henry; three brothers: Johnnie, Clifford and Bernhard Mork; three sisters: Laura Anderson, Ella Heieren and Corella Bonrud; three sisters and two brothers in infancy; and four nephews: Arvy and Clinton Anderson and Roger and Robert Wilkinson.
