Julia Martin, 83, of Minneapolis and formerly of Montevideo died March 26, 1993 at the Richfield Nursing Home in Richfield, MN.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, March 30, 1993 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Warren Broughton officiated and interment was at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Julia Martin was born April 2, 1909 at Dawson, MN.to Julius and Mary Sampson. She later moved with her family to Holloway, where she graduated from high schoolin 1927. Julia worked in Montevideo before marrying Orris Martin March 4, 1941 at Appleton, MN. They lived in the Montevideo area where she worked at a variety of jobs including working at the Luther Haven Nursing Home. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo She moved to Minneapolis in 1987 following the death of her husband.
She is survived by one daughter Orla Jane Heinze and her husband Gary of Bongard, MN and one son Orville "Jim" Martin and his wife Judith of Minneapolis, 4 grandchildren;and by a sister - Amanda Nelson of New Hope, Mn.;
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Orris in 1987, by a granddaughter - Coralee Ann Heinze; and by brothers - Lester and Clarence Sampson.
