Julian Stensrud, 90, Montevideo, MN and formerly of rural Glennwood died Tuesday, September 15, 1992 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 19 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Dan Fuelling will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday afternoon and evening at Anderson Funeral Home and at the church for one hour before services on Saturday.
Julian Stensrud was born December 2, 1901 at Montevideo, MN the son of the late Lars and Anne (Hilden) Stensrud. He attended school in Montevideo and at the Agricultural College in St. Paul. Julian was united in marriage with Esther Ostlie on June 12, 1929 in Montevideo. They farmed north of Watson until 1940 when they moved to a farm near Glennwood. In 1965 they returned to Montevideo and worked at Brookside Manor for a few years. Esther died May 9, 1986. Julian moved to Luther Haven that same year.
He is survived by one daughter Alice Von Mosch and her husband Bruce of Fergus Falls, MN; two sons: Roger and his wife Elaine of Litchfield, MN and Ellsworth and his wife Karen of Minneapolis, MN; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceeding him in death were his parents, wife Esther, and 8 brothers and sisters.
