Julie Roder, 38, of Montevideo died on Sunday, October 2, 1994 as the result of an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 10 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Rev. Warren Broughton and Rev. Douglas Olson will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Monday.
Julie Rae Skogrand was born on October 4, 1955 at Montevideo, MN the daughter of Marlowe and Mildred (Tobiason) Skogrand. She was baptized and confirmed at Jevnaker Lutheran Church and grew to adulthood in Mandt Township. Julie attended rural schools and graduated from Montevideo Senior High School in 1973. She was united in marriage with James Roder on May 12, 1979 at Jevnaker Lutheran Church. They lived in Montevideo where she worked for Control Data for several years and was currently employed at Northwestern Mutual Life. Julie was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Legion Auxiliary, and Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling, softball, and other sports.
She is survived by her husband James; three daughters: Michelle, Melissa, and Ashley all at home; her parents, Marlowe and Mildred Skogrand of Montevideo; her father and mother-in-law, Art and Elsie Roder of Montevideo; two brothers: Richard Skogrand of Montevideo and Dean Skogrand and his wife Connie of Cottonwood; one sister Nancy Kurtzbein and her husband Bob of Montevideo; four nephews and numerous cousins.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents.
