June Cook, of Montevideo, died on Wednesday, February 18, 1998 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 72.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 23, 1998 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
June Marie (Teichmann) Cook was born on July 1, 1925 in Fargo, ND to Samuel and Mabel Teichmann. She attended Fargo Public Schools and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1943. She attended Nursing School for 3 years at Bismarck Evangelical Hospital, graduating in 1946. She was in the first class of the US Cadet Nurse Corps. She worked as a R.N. at Doctors Hospital in Seattle, WA and St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo. On August 14, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert D. Cook, and continued to live in Fargo until moving to Moorhead, MN in 1961. The family moved to Montevideo, MN in October of 1966 when Mr. Cook became manager of the NSP office there. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church, enjoyed gardening and flowers, was active in the Chippewa Co. Historical Society and was an active member of the NSP A.R.N.E. Club. June’s love for others was never ending and she touched so many lives through her gentle ways, compassionate words and selfless actions. She will always be admired, loved and sorely missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
She is survived by two daughters: Kathleen Moss and her husband Bruce of Bowling Green, OH and Paula Foss and her husband Jeffrey of Willmar, MN; two granddaughters: Mina and Chantall; one sister, Wanda Teichmann of Fargo, ND; two brothers: Paul Teichmann of Fargo, ND and Warren Teichmann of Midland, TX; and one sister-in-law, Patricia ( Robert) Tenneson of Littleton, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in1995; and by one sister, Marian Teichmann.
