June Norman

June Norman died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at her home in Montevideo at the age of 78.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.  Pastor Bob Knutson will officiate.

Visitation will be held for one hour before the service on Saturday, October 23.

June Darlene (Syverson) Norman was born June 11, 1943 at Harvey ND the daughter of Arnt and Lena (Heil) Syverson.  She grew up in Selz, ND and lived in Fargo and Bismark before moving to Montevideo in the late 1970's.  June worked as a waitress at Trailways and Country Kitchen for many years.  She also worked at The Gallery and Innovex in Montevideo.  June enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and especially her love of roses.

She is survived by her children: Robert Wateland of Fargo, Mark (Cheryl) Wateland of Coon Rapids, Dale (Jane) Wateland of Cottage Grove, Sherrie Gilb of St. Cloud, Leigh (Don) Doose of Montevideo,  and Cindy (David) Schwartz of Rose Creek; 11 grandchildren: Amber, Shawn, Rebecca, Jason, Jessica, Grace, Christina, Adam, Tyler, Nathan, and Caleb; 19 great-grandchildren;  a brother, Brian (Jen) Thorstensen of Mountain House, CA; a sister-in-law Judy Thorstensen of Fargo.

Preceding her in death were her parents: Lena and Hank Thorstensen and a brother, Terry Thorstensen.
