Junior Klemensen, 83, of Marshall and formerly of Clarkfield, died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall, MN.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with Pastor Mark Kenney officiating. Interment will be in Leenthrop Memorial Cemetery in rural Maynard, MN.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 5-7:00 PM at the Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Junior Martin Klemensen was born November 1, 1931 in Hampton, IA to Martin and Mary (Sparling) Klemensen. He grew up in South Dakota. On April 20, 1963, he was united in marriage to Linda Stiklestad. He lived in Groton, SD, Clarkfield, MN, Humbolt, IA, Aberdeen, SD and most recently in Marshall, MN. He worked as a garbologist for 17 years for Ulrich Sanitation and later as a mechanic for Viessman Trucking. He has been attending Adult Day Care in Marshall for the past three years. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching John Wayne movies, tinkering in his garage, playing rummy and cribbage and collecting and building miniature accessories for a farm set.
He is survived by five children: Laurie Lyngen (and Faisal Suleman) of Montevideo, MN; Jon Klemensen of Faribault, MN; Lisa Klemensen of Clarkfield, MN; Hope Reyna of Marshall, MN; and Jason Klemensen (and Markelle Rettey) of Granite Falls, MN; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Mae Mlinar of Janesville, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda in 2008; and by a brother, Arnold Klemensen.
