Justin Dornbusch (and his brother, Brandon, age 12) died Monday, June 7, 2004 as the result of a swimming accident on the Chippewa River near Watson, MN at the age of 14.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. at Watson Lutheran Church in Watson, MN with Rev. Larry Olson officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before services at the church.
Justin Lee Dornbusch was born June 20, 1989 at Coos Bay, OR the son of Chris and Judy (Bour) Dornbusch. He attended school in Independence and Dallas, OR before moving to Minnesota in February. He had been attending the Area Learning Center in Montevideo and had just finished 9th grade. Justin loved fishing, camping, basketball and skateboarding. He also enjoyed free-hand drawing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Stonger of Oregon City, OR; his father, Chris Dornbusch and his wife Mona of Watson, MN; one step-sister, Chelsea Stonger of Watson, MN; one half-brother, David White of Gold Beach, OR; one half-sister, Sarah Dornbusch of Milbank, SD; three step-brothers: Joseph Miller of Seattle, WA, Brandon Powers living in OR, and Joshua Hobbs of Seattle, WA; grandmothers: Vicky McGuiness of Gold Beach, OR and Mary Dornbusch of Brookings, OR; great-grandfather, Ralph Dornbusch; three aunts: Michelle (Corey) Gray, Melissa Hartman, and Dawn Hartman; five uncles: Wally Hartman, John Dornbusch, Danny Dornbusch, Matthew Dornbusch, and LeRoy Dornbusch; and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandfathers: Warren White and David Dornbusch and great-grandparents: Elda and John Bour and Alice Dornbusch.
