Katherine Flinn, of Montevideo, died on Thursday, June 12, 1997, at the Chippewa Co - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 89.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 16, 1997 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church in Montevideo with Rev. Warren Broughton and Rev. Douglas Olson officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4 PM on Sunday with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Katherine (Miller) Flinn was born on March 19,1908, in Milan, MN to Carl and Olava Miller. She grew up on a farm, attended rural schools and graduated from Milan High School.. She attended college in St. Cloud and taught in rural schools for 17 years. She was united in marriage to Howard Flinn on August 28, 1937 in Milbank, SD and lived her entire married life in Montevideo. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church and the Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by sons - Don Flinn and his wife Cheryl of Aberdeen, SD; Gary Flinn; Jeffrey Flinn; Gregory Flinn and his wife Jane; and Dallas Flinn - all of Montevideo; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband - Howard in 1988; by a daughter - Kathy Ann Flinn; a great granddaughter - Amanda Kay Flinn; a brother - Marvin Miller and a sister - Agnes Morseth.
