Kathi Oxenreider, of Milan, died on Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Devils Lake, ND at the age of 67. Memorial services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Milan Community Center (Milan School) in Milan. Kathi Jean (Keobnick) Oxenreider was born on January 20, 1944 in Hutchinson, MN to Amos and Sarah ( Monson) Koebnick. She lived in Montevideo, Willmar and most recently in Milan, MN She worked in area communities providing advocacy services to women of domestic abuse. She loved reading mystery books, gardening, and was an active member of the Democratic Farmer Labor party. She is very proud of her work with women who were in need of shelter and assistance, and was an advocate against domestic violence. She is dearly remembered as a witty woman who enjoyed laughing with friends and family. She is survived by a son, Christopher Oxenreider of St. Paul, MN; three daughters: Phoebe Oxenreider (and Randy Olson) of Benson, MN, Liz (and Bob) Potter of Bemidji, MN and Julia Oxenreider of Bemidji MN; one grand-daughter, Amara Potter; a brother- in- law, Lincoln Hudson of Golden Valley, MN; a sister- in-law, Jackie Koebnick of St. Paul, MN; nieces: Michelle (and Nick) DeSalvo of Casper WY, Kameo ( and Fernando) Calvario of Brooklyn Park, MN, Andrea (and Scott) Miller of Devils Lake ND; nephews: Peter Hatori of Fargo ND and Doug Koebnick of White Bear Lake, MN; a great niece, Nicole DeSalvo of Casper WY; great nephews: David DeSalvo of Casper, WY; and Alexander and Andy Hatori of Orono, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Leora Ito and a brother Michael Koebnick.
