Kenneth Gehner, the son of Victor & Edith Gehner of Maynard, died on Sunday December 10, 1995 at the Princeton Medical Center in Princeton, NJ at the age of 51. Memorial services will be conducted on Monday December 18, 1995 at 1:30 P.M. at the Maynard Lutheran Church with Rev. Louise Esbjornson officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Havelock. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home of Montevideo.
Kenneth Raymond Gehner was born on September 9, 1944 in Montevideo, Minnesota to Victor and Edith (Knoshal) Gehner. He attended rural schools and graduated from Maynard High School in 1962. He attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota, obtained his Masters at the University of Michigan, and earned his PHD from the University of Wisconsin. He went to Princeton, New Jersey, where he worked for AT & T in research for 24 years. He was responsible for general research in the areas of improving communication service. He is the holder of a US patrent and was the author of numerous articles and publications. He enjoyed studying the stock market and anylizing company positions . He also spent a great deal of time on research on geneology, tracing family history back over 200 years.
He is survived by his parents - Victor and Edith Gehner of Maynard, as well as by uncles and aunts.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
