Kenneth M. Jorgenson, 83, of Minneapolis and formerly of Montevideo, died May 22, 1995 at Riverside Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 30, at 11:00 A.M. at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo. Rev. Don Rudrud and Rev. Warren Broughton will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Kenneth Milford Jorgenson was born September 4, 1911 in Montevideo, MN the son of Engebret and Elise Jorgenson. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. Petri Lutheran Church, rural Boyd, MN. Kenneth graduated from Lutheran Normal School at Madison, MN and attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. He served in the US Army, attaining the rank of Regimental Master Sergeant. Kenneth was united in marriage with Florence Martin on June 28, 1948. He worked for the Farmers Union Oil Company and thirty years as an engineer for the Chicago-Milwaukee and Pacific Railroad. He was a former member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his son Kevin of Minneapolis; by brothers: Harlan and his wife Dorothy of Montevideo, Robert and his wife Ruth of Montevideo, Roger and his wife Bernita of Benson, and Herbert and his wife Jean of Apple Valley; and one sister, Harriet Diehm and her husband Jacob of Grand Rapids, MI; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were her parents; his wife, Florence; one sister, Evelyn Winslow; two brothers: Obert and Donald who was killed in World War II.
