Ladonna (Habben) Johnson

September 12, 1927 — January 15, 2015

LaDonna I. Johnson, of Dawson, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Clara City Nursing Home in Clara City, MN at the age of 87.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson, MN.  Rev. Kendal Stelter will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, from 5 - 7 PM at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson with a prayer service at 6:30 PM.
LaDonna Isabelle (Habben) Johnson was born September 12, 1927 at Balaton, MN to Herman and Viola (Hall) Habben.  She graduated from Balaton High School in 1945 and went on to nurses training.  She worked as a nurse at the Dawson Hospital.   On December 28, 1947, she was united in marriage to Andre “Roger” Johnson at First Methodist Church in Balaton, MN.  They made their home in Dawson where she worked at the hatchery with her husband.  They later ran the Co-op Café.  She also worked at Luther Haven in Montevideo.  Roger died July 26, 1995. She enjoyed the outdoors, picking weeds and going for walks.  She was a very caring person and a protector of many homeless cats.
She is survived by her three children: Anita (Ron) Skotterud of Moundsview, Charles (Cindy) Johnson of Menasha, WI, and Ronald (Amy) Johnson of Apple Valley; 10 grandchildren: Todd (Stephanie) Skotterud, Lori (Ryan) Sommers, Michael (Heidi) Johnson, Toni (Todd) Bethke, Eric Johnson, Jason ( Kelly) Johnson, Steven Johnson, Zack Johnson, Riley Johnson, and Sophia Johnson; 9 great-grandchildren: Alyson, Tia, Andre, Kate, Colin, Claire, Aiden, Jordyn, and Dane; two sisters: Dorothy Mainous of Westminister, SC and Verna (Gerald) Mulder of Worthington, MN; a brother, Bill Habben of Balaton, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Roger; two sons: Gregory in 2000 and Bob in 2004; and two brothers: George and Edward Habben.
