Larry Michael Anderson was born July 25, 1950, in Dawson, to Wallace J. and Evelyn (Hauge) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Providence Valley Lutheran Church. He graduated from Dawson High School in 1968. Upon graduation, he entered the Minnesota National Guard (Dawson Battery). After completing basic training, he attended Canby Technical School, graduating with a diesel mechanic degree. He worked for several implement dealers before starting his life-long career of farming.
In November of 1970, he and Donna Baer were married. Two children were born to this union, Lisa and Ryan.
He was a life-long member of Providence Valley Lutheran Church, serving as an usher and council member. For many years he was on the Providence Township board and Midwest Cattleman's Association.
Larry died accidently at his farm on Saturday, June 17, 2000, at the age of 49.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Anderson of Clear Lake, SD, and son, Ryan Anderson of Dawson; father, Wallace J. Anderson of Dawson; sister, Karen (Frank) Bielinski of Marshall; niece, Tami Bielinski of Sioux Falls, SD; nephew, Sean Bielinski of Lincoln, NE; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Evelyn on March 22, 1996; and nephew, Jason Bielinski.
