Larry Jorgenson, of Montevideo, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the University of Minnesota Hospitals at the age of 73. Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Kathy Skoglund officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 - 5 P.M. with a prayer service at 4:30 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Larry Dallas Jorgenson was born on April 7, 1938 in Big Bend Township of Chippewa Co., MN to Leonard and Elenora (Thompson) Jorgenson. He was baptized and confirmed at Big Bend Lutheran Church. He attended rural schools and graduated from Milan High School in 1955. On April 14, 1957 he was united in marriage to Joanne Buseman at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo. He worked for Culligan for forty-six years and drove truck for Kane for several years, as well as farming. He was a member of the Watson Lions Club, Montevideo Fire Department and the Scenic Valley Cruisers Car Club. He enjoyed music, hunting and hunting trips, fishing, motorcycles, farming, old cars and was a jokester. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; three children: Steven (and Andrea) Jorgenson of Milan, MN; John (and Deb) Jorgenson of Montevideo and Stacy (and John) Keller of Montevideo; Grandchildren: Nicole (and Chad) Heinrich; Rebekkah (Colt) Cozart; Spencer Jorgenson; Josh Keller; Paige Jorgenson; Patric Keller; Sarah Jorgenson; Aeron Jorgenson; Aira Jorgenson; two great grandchildren: MacKenzie and Savannah; his mother, Elenora Jorgenson of Marshall, MN; a brother, Valgene(and Sandy) Jorgenson of Montevideo; a sister, Janet Olson of Marshall, MN, as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Jorgenson in 2001.
