LaVon i��Tootsi�� Anderson, of Montevideo, died on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 89. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo, Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening with the family present from 7-8:00 PM and a prayer service at 7:30 PM. LaVon Alice i��Tootsi�� (Pearson) Anderson was born on September 29, 1919 in Montevideo, MN the daughter of Carl and Andrea (Ingvaldson) Pearson. She was baptized on November 12, 1919 in her home and confirmed on April 17, 1932 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She attended Montevideo Public Schools and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1937. On April 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to Orrie Anderson at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church parsonage. She worked for a few years as a waitress, as a sales clerk and was a department head at Pamida for 16 years before retiring in 1984. She was a life-long member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and had been active in the altar guild. Toots enjoyed sewing, reading, playing cards, and watching baseball games. She is survived by a brother, Charles Pearson of Montevideo; one sister, Evelyn Gilsrud of Montevideo; and nieces and nephews including Heather Ann Piotter of Appleton, MN and Holly Jo Miles of Meade, KS. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Orrie on December 27, 1973; two sisters: Myrtle Peterson and Irene Haugerud; and three brothers: Everett, Clayton and Gordon Pearson.
