Lee Grau, of Montevideo, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Gwen Bohlke officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-7:30 PM at the United Methodist Church with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Anderson Funeral Home of Montevideo is in charge of funeral arrangements. Lee Ernest Grau was born June 6, 1947 at Waterloo, IA the son of Walter and Ida (Wilson) Grau. He graduated from Waterloo High School in 1965 and later from Upper Iowa University in Fayette, IA. Lee was united in marriage with Carol Hildahl June 8, 1968 at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. They made their home in Montevideo where Lee worked as an insurance agent for many years. He was a member of the Jaycees, the Lions, and active at the United Methodist Church. He loved attending sporting events, reading, woodworking and gardening. His world revolved around his family and he was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Carol; two children: Julie (and Jim) Nolte of Stordin, MN and Jon (and Kristina) Grau of Chaska, MN; five grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Amanda, Andrea, and Dylan; and a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Nan Seubert and their families. Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, Jeff.
