Leo Mettling, 73, of Ah Gwah Ching, MN and formerly of Montevideo, died August 16, 1994 at Ah Gwah Ching Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 19, at 2:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. Fr. Jerry Paulson will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour before services.
Leo Ambrose Mettling was born February 1, 1921 in Montevideo, MN the son of Harry and Evelyn (Willette) Mettling. He attended school and grew to adulthood there. He was united in marriage with Almira Paulson in 1945.Leo farmed near Pequot Lakes for several years before selling his farm in the late 60's. Due to his illness, he has spent last few years in various nursing homes, most recently at Ah Gwah Ching.
He is survived by one son John and his wife Nancy of Pequot Lakes; one daughter Linda Conzano and her husband Nick of Salem, NH; and 5 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Paul Mettling; and one sister Bernetta Strommer.
