Leonard Ordell Enevoldsen was born September 28, 1943 in Dawson, MN to Morris and Clara (Kaupang) Enevoldsen. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Leonard attended and graduated from Dawson High School in 1962. After high school he joined the work force and worked as a crane operator for over 30 years. Leonard was united in marriage to Judy Miller on January 15, 1966 at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton, MN. They made their home in Montevideo and to this union two sons were born.
Leonard enjoyed fishing, especially spear fishing, gardening and woodworking. He was a very talented woodworker and was well known for his turning projects. Leonard also enjoyed going to auctions and would take his family with frequently, often staying until the very end. Ultimately his pride and joy were his family, especially his grandchildren. Leonard enjoyed his many trips to his family’s camper on Big Stone Lake and overall spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Kenneth (Renelle) Enevoldsen of Montevideo, and Craig Enevoldsen of Montevideo; grandchildren, Alixann (Matthew) Almquist of Eagan, MN, Zaccary Enevoldsen (significant other, Natasha Smith) of Olivia, MN and Emmalee Enevoldsen (significant other, Keiser Freetly) of Fargo, ND; brother, Virgil (Pat) Enevoldsen; sisters, Carol Block and Sharon Huseby; and several other extended family and friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and mother and father-in-law.
Blessed be his memory.
