Leonard Mozey Jr.

Leonard Mozey, of Dawson, died Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 81.

Private services will be held.

Leonard (Len) Robert Mozey, Jr. was born on May 17, 1943, in Eagle Bend, MN, to Leonard and Helen (Wilson) Mozey. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country from 1960 to 1966. During his time in the Navy, Len worked as a mechanic for the Blue Angels as a plane captain of Navy 7. After his time in the Navy, he spent most of his life driving a truck for Midwest Motor Express. Len loved spending time with his family and close friends, and he even spent time coaching his grandchildren’s soccer teams.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Larson of Dawson; children, Jahn (Susie) Mozey of Lena, WI, Cindy (Curt) Meyer of Andover, MN and Julie Cota of St. Michael, MN; Len's 6 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; great-granddaughter on the way; and 2 step-great grandchildren; Judy’s children, Pam (Tracey) Schacherer, Lynn (Keir) Swanson, and Ron Larson all of Madison; Judy’s 8 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and several extended family and friends.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Leonard Mozey, Sr. and Helen Mozey.
