Lillian died on the evening of Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010, at the Johnson Memorial Care Center at the age of 97 years, 1 month and 12 days Funeral service was at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 7, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastors Kendall Stelter and Lindsay Stolen officiating. Visitation was only on Wednesday at the church for one hour prior to the service. Lillian Elizabeth Oman was born at Leslie, Missouri, on February 22, 1913, to William and Clara (Meyer) Breckenkamp. She was baptized on March 16, 1913, and confirmed in the Ada Lutheran Church in Kackley, Kansas. In 1918, the family moved to Farmoso, Kansas, where she attended school. Upon graduating, she found employment in Belleville, Kansas, and later, in Clay Center, Kansas, where she met and married Arne Oman on June 3, 1944. He was serving in the Armed Forces at the time, and when he finished his term of service, they moved to Dawson, MN, in 1946, where she had lived ever since. After moving from her house, Lillian lived at Parkview Apartments for 10 years, then moved into Prairie Meadows Assisted Living in April of 2009 and entered the Johnson Memorial Care Center on January 15, 2010. Her hobbies were fishing and working in the yard. She loved the outdoors and listening to the Dawson-Boyd boys and girls basketball games. Lillian is survived by her sister, Marie Blackwood of Altus, OK; 3 sisters-in-law: Hazel Oman of Dawson and Alice Donaho and Pearl Chisholm, both of the St. Paul area; special friends: Mary Wager and Dawn Larsen, both of Dawson; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arne, on June 28, 2001; and her brother, Wayman (Bill) Breckenkamp.
