Linda Bunn, of Montevideo, died Sunday, November 29, 2015, a the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 68.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Watson Lutheran Church with Vicar Linda Estling officiating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7:00 at the Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service at 6:45 PM. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before the funeral.
Linda Emma Hartke was born July 29, 1947 to George and Rosella (Slettedahl) Hartke in Granite Falls, MN. She was confirmed and baptized at Wood Lake Lutheran Church. She attended and graduated from Wood Lake High School. Linda was united in marriage to Robert Bunn on August 12, 1967 at Wood Lake Lutheran Church. They had four children together. The family lived and farmed in the Watson area for over 46 years. Linda moved to Copper Glenn on August 1, 2015.
Linda devoted her life to rasing her family and serving others. She worked for The Prairie Five Meals on Wheels as a cook and for many years at Walmart in the concession kitchen and sometimes the fabric department. Because Linda very much enjoyed working with children, she served as a teacher and treasurer at Watson Lutheran Sunday School for several years. She enjoyed crafts such as ceramics, sewing, crocheting and knitting. She also enjoyed old movies from the Turner Classic channel, romance novels, casino games and taking trips with family and friends. Linda was well known for her wedding cakes and enjoyed baking and decorating them for family, friends and others.
Linda is survived by her husband, Robert Sr.; children: Susan (Todd) Meinders of Worthington, MN, Robert Jr. (Theresa) Bunn of Forest Lake, MN, Randall (Rebecca) Bunn of Pennock, MN and Ryan Bunn of Hanley Falls, MN; 8 grandchildren; siblings Gary (MerelAnn) Hartke of Wood Lake, MN, Alecia (Franz) Helling of Hanska, MN and Ruth (Ken) Koch of Waconia, MN; as well as many other extended family.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, George and Rosella; her sisters, Rosalie Hartke and Gloria Leighton and neices, Barb Leighton and Angela (Koch) Solomon.
