Linda Gordon, of Montevideo, died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 54.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. A memorial service for family and close friends will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
Linda (Landmark) Gordon was born on September 30, 1963 in Sisseton, SD to Edna (Jordahl) and Garfield Landmark. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran religion in Sisseton, SD. She was the youngest of 7 children. She grew up and attended school in Sisseton, graduating in 1981. Linda married Scott Gordon in 1987. Two children, Keith and Sarah, were born to this marriage. The family lived in Wisconsin and Hutchinson before moving to Montevideo in 1989. Linda worked at Luther Haven Nursing Home in the dietary department, REM, and for the Montevideo School District as a head cook for over 17 years.
Family members remember that Linda was a care giver. From an early age Linda seemed to have a special place in her heart for the elderly and those with disabilities as she was always quick to recognize and assist them with their needs.
Linda enjoyed being at the lake fishing, gardening, canning, cooking and baking . She also enjoyed playing cards and board games such as Tripoli. By far, Linda's greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was to spend time with her grandchildren, they brought joy to her life and she brought joy to theirs.
Linda is survived by her two children: Keith (Brittany) Gordon, Sartell, MN and Sarah (Jeremy Amsden) Gordon, Dawson, MN; her grandchildren: Ayden Amsden and Izabelle Amsden; step-son: Erik Gordon. Significant other Todd Goulson and his two sons Adam and Andrew Goulson; Siblings: Richard (Shelva) Landmark, Sisseton, SD, Judy (Bill) Frieder, Manitowoc, Wisc., Bonnie (John) Konrath, Waverly MN, Darell (Diane) Landmark, Montevideo, David (Janet) Landmark, Madras, OR, and Sheryl (Gary) Standly, Lakeville, MN; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Garfield Landmark, mother-in-law Pat Gordon, and Dick Goulson.
