Lloyd Peterson

Lloyd Peterson, 76, of Milan died on Thursday, September 2, 1993 at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 4, 1993 at 1:30 P.M. at Watson Lutheran Church - Watson, MN with Rev. Robert Rendahl officiating.  Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Watson.  Visitation will be held Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services.

Lloyd Oscar Peterson was born on February 3, 1917 in Big Bend Township of Chippewa County, Minnesota to Andrew and Helma Peterson.  He was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church of rural Watson, MN. and attended rural schools.  He completed his studies at the West Central School of Agriculture in Morris, MN.  He was a lifelong resident of Chippewa County and farmed in Big Bend Township. He served as a Chippewa County Commissioner for eight years from 1980 - 1988 and served on a variety of committees representing the county.  He was an avid sportsman and was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever.

He is survived by one brother, Donald and his wife Alta Mae Peterson of Milan, MN; four nieces: Darlene, Linda, Ruth Ann, and Janice; and one sister-in-law, Mabel Peterson of Minneapolis, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers: Richard and Arlo Peterson; by a sister, Eleanor Falk and her husband Fred, and by a niece - Diane.
