Lorene "Lori" Bouska of Montevideo died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 80. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 19, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Jevnaker Lutheran Church, rural Montevideo. Rev. Donald S. McKee will officiate and interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Montevideo. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the services on Monday. Lorene Viola (Christenson) Bouska was born August 1, 1931 in Hayfield, MN the daughter of John and Hilma (Holtan) Christenson. Lori was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield on September 13, 1931. She graduated from Benson High School in 1949. Lori started working for Prudential Insurance in Montevideo in 1951 and continued to work there until 1981. She was united in marriage with Robert Bouska April 25, 1970 in Willmar. Robert died December 24, 1983. Lori also worked for several years for REM. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, and flowers. She is survived by two brothers: Sherman Christenson of Mankato, MN and Larry (Barb) Christenson of Montevideo, MN; two sisters-in-law: Carol Christenson of Willmar, MN and JoAnn Christenson of Montevideo, MN; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert; an infant son; five brothers: Orville, Archie, Robert, Walter, and Marvin Christenson; one sister, Ardella Boysen; one brother-in-law, Morris Boysen; and two sisters-in-law: Beverly and Adeline.
