Luella Anderson, of Montevideo, died on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 91. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Tim Ehling officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Luella (Schuerer) Anderson was born on June 20, 1916 in Big Bend Township of Chippewa County, MN to Richard and Anna (Engebretson) Schuerer. She was baptized and confirmed at Big Bend Lutheran Church and attended rural schools. On April 6, 1936, she was united in marriage to Glen Anderson at the Our Saviors Lutheran Parsonage in Montevideo. She lived all her married life in Montevideo and worked at Trailways, Tise's Cafe and the Hunt Hotel. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and had been a member of the sewing circle. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, fishing and her grandchildren and family. She is survived by three children: Glynice Saue of Montevideo, Betty Henriksen of Boyd, MN and Robert L. Anderson of Montevideo; a daughter-in-law, Llea Anderson of Morris, MN; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen in 1995; a son, Wayne in 2003; a grandson, Bradley Saue in 1994; a great-grandchild, Leah Sather; one brother; and four sisters.
