Luella Larson

Luella Larson, of Montevideo, died on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 84. Memorial service will be on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. at Jevnaker Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Wheatley officiating. Luella Jane (Hefta) Larson was born on January 28, 1926 in Harvey, ND to Alvin and Rosella Hefta. She grew up and graduated from high school in Harvey. In March of 1961 she was united in marriage to Rudolph Larson in Reno, NV. They lived in many parts of the world as Rudy served in the U.S. Air Force before retiring in December, 1975. They retired back to the Montevideo area in 1976. She was a member of Mandt Lutheran Church and more recently a member of Jevnaker Lutheran Church. She was a member of the V.F. W., American Legion and DAV Auxiliaries and loved to sew and knit. She is survived by her husband, Rudolph E. Larson of Montevideo; a son-in-law, Richard Woollard of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren, six great-grand children, a sister, Terry Hefta of St. Paul, MN, numerous nieces and nephews; and many relatives from the Cities and Benson area. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Laurie Larson and Phyllis Woollard, sisters: Lorene Jondahl, Delores Koman and Marlys Lutheran and by brothers: Donald, Charles, George, Harold and Marvin Hefta.
