Luke Nathaneil Christenson

Luke Christenson, of Montevideo, died on Wednesday, February 24, 1999 as a result of an automobile accident at the age of 17.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 27, 1999 at 1:30 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Gregory Gabriel officiating.  Burial will be in the Jevnaker Lutheran Cemetery of rural Montevideo.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Luke Nathaneil Christenson was born on March 18, 1981 in Montevideo, MN to Thomas and Denise (Zimmerman)  Christenson.  He was baptized on May 3, 1981 and confirmed on May 19, 1996 at the Jevnaker Lutheran Church.  He was attending Montevideo Public Schools and was in the Senior Class.  He was a member of the Mandt Live Wire 4H club, Luther League and the Montevideo High School FFA, marching band, pep band and jazz band.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, doing demo derbies and hanging out with his friends.  He also enjoyed watching and going to the races.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas & Denise Christenson; one sister, Amber Christenson; grandparents: Ardy Zimmerman of Montevideo and Art & Alice Christenson of Montevideo; a great-grandmother, Mattie Tischer of Montevideo; aunts and uncles: Glenn & Sandra Strube of Mayer, MN, Steven & Joy Zimmerman of Faribault, MN, Harland & Charlee Strube of Princeton, MN, Gaylen Zimmerman of Shakopee, MN, Stanley & JoAnne Glimsdal of Benson, MN, Jerry & Joan Christenson of Montevideo, Tony & Vonnie Daub of Brooklyn Park, MN, Ron and Gail Seeklander of Bruce, SD, Bill & Darlene Cleland of Chamberlain, SD, and Rick & Donna Christenson of Montevideo; as well as by numerous cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Zimmerman.
