Mabel Gose, 81, died Sunday, September 1, 2002 at her home in Montevideo, MN surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2002 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Leo Deitemeyer will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at Anderson Funeral Home with a prayer service at 8:00 P.M.
Mabel Ione (Webber) Gose was born February 7, 1921 at Waseca, MN the daughter of Francis and Alice (Marshman) Webber. She attended school and grew to adulthood at Balaton, MN Mabel was united in marriage with Ernie Gose February 18, 1939 at Wolsey, SD. They lived in Cottonwood, MN before moving to a farm near Montevideo in 1953 and then into Montrvideo in 1965. She worked at Luther Haven in the 1960's, as a cook at the High School in 1971 and 72, at the Carlson Doll Factory for 10 years and at Walmart the past 8 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and church circle, the Chippewa County Historical Society, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by four children: Deanna Olson of Montevideo, MN, Ronnie Gose and his wife Shirley of Montevideo, MN, Donald Gose of Hendricks, MN, and Richard Gose and his wife Patty of Montevideo, MN; four grandchildren: Elizabeth (John) Baker of Holloway, MN, Charles Olson of Montevideo, MN, Shannon Gose of Portland, OR, and Paul Gose of Japan; two great-grandchildren: Jonathan Olson and Brand Baker; a special friend, Marvin Krenz of rural Maynard, MN; three brothers: Richard (Marlys) Webber of Albert Lea, MN, Edward (Thelma) Wilson of Hancock, MN, and Buzz Webber of Kentucky; two sisters: Florence Ditz of Waseca, MN and Fern Neman of Freeport, CA.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ernie; daughter and son-in-law, Marion (Alton) Reinke; son-in-law, Ronnie Olson; one grandson, Ronnie Olson, Jr.; three sisters: Delilah Vitha, Evelyn Poplow, and Betty Webber; and two brothers: Loren Webber and Edwin Webber.
