Margaret Eleanor (Soblom) Anderson was born Sunday, July 13, 1924, in Providence Township, Lac Qui Parle County, MN, the daughter of Frank and Laura (Carlson) Soblom. She was baptized June 7, 1925, by Pastor A.W. Franklin and confirmed at the Dawson Covenant Church on April 5, 1936, by Pastor Axel Niklason. Margaret attended rural schools and Dawson High School.
Margaret was united in marriage with Donald Anderson on Sunday, January 21, 1945, at Providence Valley Lutheran Church. They made their home on a farm in Providence Township. She worked at Johnson Memorial Hospital for 21 years, until retiring in 1990. Margaret was a member of Providence Valley Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid, Bible study group, and a Sunday School Teacher; she also was a member of the Legion Auxiliary; and she enjoyed cooking, baking, and recipe collecting.
Margaret died suddenly on Sunday, November 11, 2001, at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 77.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Kathie Sundt and husband, Kirby of Brownsville, TX; two grandsons: Zachary and Chayse Sundt; brother, Ralph Soblom of rural Dawson, MN; foster son, Josue (Sheila) Castillo and their sons, Joshua, Jordan, and Spenser of Lakeville, MN; special family friend, Amparo Quintero of Bloomington, MN; and other family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
