Margaret Kalstrom

Margaret Kalstrom formerly of Montevideo, died on Sunday December 10, 2000 at the Appleton Nursing Home at the age of 86.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday December 12, 2000 at 2:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Watson, MN with Rev. Larry Olson Officiating.  Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Margaret Kalstrom was born on December 27, 1913 in Chippewa Co., MN to Jens and Synova (Einerson) Kalstrom.  She attended rural schools and graduated from Milan High School.  She attended beautician school in Watertown, SD.  She operated  the Twin Sister Beauty Shop with her twin sister Charlotte  in Montevideo for nearly forty years before retiring.  She was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church,  was active in it's women’s organizations and was the church organist for many years.  She was especially fond of camping and music.

She is survived by  by nephews - David Kalstrom of Jamestown,ND; Wilbur Kalstrom of St. Cloud, MN; and Leland Otterholt of Montevideo; and by a sister-in-law - Olive Kalstrom of Montevideo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by brothers - Walter & Oscar Kalstrom;  by sisters - Clarice Kalstrom and Genora Otterholt and by her twin sister - Charlotte in 1996 as well as by 2 nephews.
