It is with great sadness that we lost our sister Marianne (Auntie and Great Auntie to many) the night after Christmas. She struggled with MS for many years and died peacefully in her bed in her own home as was always her wish. She was stubbornly independent, fiercely self-reliant with one main goal..... To stay living in her house in the boonies...no matter what! Each day must have been a struggle to her but she never let on. Marianne was true to the cliché meaning for “Seeing the World through Rose Colored Glasses" Each day she was filled with a colorful upbeat optimism of the great things that were to come. She would talk about tiling the bathroom walls and floor, redoing the entryway, building a new fence for Pal her beloved dog, disassembling a lawnmower to attach the motor from it to her wheelchair for faster mobility. NOTHING was out of reach to her imaginative mind. She loved the beauty of nature and of animals especially horses, unicorns and her dog Pal. She loved photography and took many beautiful pictures in her earlier years. Marianne had “The Aman Gift of Gab”...and used it often ….with us and whomever she met. She loved talking about and was well versed in ...the beauty of old guns and vintage trucks with the guys and could switch to any and all subjects the girls could bring up……She loved watching old country westerns, although she also had a soft spot in her heart for William Shatner in Star Trek. She was always kind, warm and interesting to everyone she met even if she didn't know them.
She brought us Frustration & Worry along with Laughter, and we loved her unconditionally. Family was always important to her as it is to all of us and we will miss her terribly.
RIP Little Sister and say hi to “Mom, Dad, Tim, Shawn and Shawn Jr for us. I know they will welcome you with loving arms.
We send our love and will meet again "Somewhere over the Rainbow." 💕
Due to medical issues within the family we will have a small private memorial at a later date. We ask nothing from others except for your prayers that she finds peace and love in heaven.
