Marilyn Hadrath, of Lake Park, MN and formerly of Montevideo, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at Sanford Health Services in Fargo, ND at the age of 77. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:00AM at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Gwen Bohlke officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 - 7 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and for one hour prior to services at the church. Marilyn Jean (Stark) Hadrath was born on October 2, 1934 in Montevideo, MN to Grant and Laverna (Graue) Stark. She was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo and attended Montevideo Schools. On April 4, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert Hadrath in Montevideo. They moved to Sioux Falls in 1961 and she worked at Sioux Valley Hospital and a nursing care facility. They moved to Montevideo in 1987, and she spent some time working at the Luther Haven Nursing Home. In 1997 they moved back to Sioux Falls, where she lived until selling her home in 2011. She has split her time between Montevideo and Lake Park, MN since that time. She enjoyed word games, embroidery, rodeos, driving her car, shopping and being close to and involved with her family. She is survived by two children: William Hadrath of Sioux Falls, SD and Lynette Dahl and her husband Gary of Lake Park, MN; four grandchildren: Grant Hadrath, Jessica (and Jay) Bierle, Timothy Dahl and Nicole Dahl, two great-grandchildren, Grace and Dash; a sister, Carol (and Mike) Berends of Maynard, MN; a brother, Doug (and Ann) Stark of Montevideo, as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in 1999; a son, Michael in 1973; two sisters: Patricia Stark and Rose Docken; by a half brother, James Stark; and by a half-sister, Charlotte Stark.
