Marilyn Ruth (Bue) Rodeberg

Marilyn Rodeberg, of Montevideo, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at her home at the age of 64.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 23, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Saron Lutheran Church in rural Montevideo with Rev. Charlie Bunk officiating, Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening, with the family from 5 - 7 PM and with a prayer service at 6 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Marilyn Ruth (Bue) Rodeberg was born on July 1, 1939 in Clarkfield, MN to Wilford and Adeline (Kampen) Bue.  She was baptized and confirmed at Granite Falls Lutheran Church, grew up in the Granite Falls area and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1956.  On March 22, 1958 she was united in marriage to Dean Rodeberg at Granite Falls Lutheran Church.  Following their marriage they lived and farmed in rural Montevideo until moving into Montevideo in 1995.  She was an active member of Saron Lutheran Church, was a Sunday School teacher, was active in ladies aid and enjoyed church activities.  She was also a member of homemakers, a bridge club and delivered meals on wheels for many years..  She enjoyed golfing, gardening, crocheting, knitting, walking, reading, cooking, traveling to Arizona in the Wintertime and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Dean; by children: Lori Mezyk and her husband Peter of Chicago, IL; Beth Rodeberg and special friend Brian Gudding of Bloomington, MN and Todd Rodeberg and his wife Marcia of Eau Claire, WI; a daughter-in-law, Emily Rodeberg of Montevideo; 2 grandchildren: Elizabeth Mezyk and Trent Rodeberg; and brothers Gary Bue and his wife Lillian of Pine City, MN and David Bue and his wife Marilyn of Princeton, MN

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Adeline Bue and by a son, Lee Rodeberg in 1999.
