Marina Barrios Aguilar

Marina Barrios, of Montevideo, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Homefront First Assisted Living in Montevideo at the age of 72.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Anderson – TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with burial in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Thursday.

Marina Barrios Aguilar was born November 26, 1950 in Guatemala to Manuel Barrios and Dolores Aguilar.  She grew up in the Christian faith and held a strong commitment to her faith throughout life.  She moved to Los Angeles, CA in her younger adulthood and eventually moved to Montevideo in the late 1990’s.  Marina worked for Jennie-O in Montevideo for over ten years.  She had a great love for crossword puzzles, going to church and having coffee with conchas.  Marina was a sweet lady who loved to socialize dearly.  Her pride and joy were her family and she loved spending time with them especially her grandchildren.

Marina is survived by her children, Octavio Morales, Luis Morales, Carlos Morales and Nancy (Barry) Sulier; sisters, Yolanda and Odilia; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 15 nieces and nephews; and several other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Laura and Thelma.
