Marion Greseth

Marion Greseth, of Watson, died on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Olivia at the age of 92. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Watson Lutheran Church in Watson, MN with Rev. Larry Olson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon with the family present from 3 - 5 P.M. and with a prayer service at 4:30 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Marion E (Aaberg) Greseth was born on July 31, 1915 in Starbuck, MN to Nils and Emma (Teigen) Aaberg. She was baptized and confirmed in Starbuck and attended rural schools. On July 13, 1942 she was united in marriage to Gilman Greseth at Christ Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN. They lived in Glenwood, St. Paul and a short time in rural Lac qui Parle County before moving into Watson in 1948. In the mid 1960's she operated Marion & Linda's Cafe in Watson for several years and cooked and baked at several other restaurants. She was known as "the doughnut lady" because of her baked goods. She had spent about 2 � years as a resident of Riverside Assisted Living in Granite Falls, a short time at the Clarkfield Care Center and was currently a resident of the Golden Living Center in Olivia, MN. She was a long time active member of Watson Lutheran Church and was active in its women's groups. She loved to bake, play cards listen to MN Twin games and especially loved to keep up with her family and their activities. She is survived by three children: Linda ( and Harlan) Krause of Crystal, MN, Douglas Greseth of Emily, MN and Dennis Greseth of Rapid City, SD; four grandchildren: Michelle (and Herbert) Snowden, Michael Toninato, Haley Greseth and Heidi Greseth; six great-grandchildren: Christian, Alora, Phillip, Ariel, Arya, and Michael; a sister, Anjie Hagen of Starbuck, MN; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilman in 1985; a son, Grant in 1983; and eight brothers and sisters.
