Marion "Buster" William Charlot

Marion “Buster” Charlet died on Wednesday, October 14, 1998 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 78.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, October 19, 1998 at 10:30 AM at the Maynard Presbyterian Church in Maynard, MN with Rev. Beverly Crute officiating.  Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Marion William Charlet was born on December 15, 1919 in Boone Co.,  Iowa to Edward and Clara (Snide) Charlet.  He moved with his family to Minnesota in March of 1920.  He attended Maynard Public Schools and graduated from Maynard High School in 1939.  On May 3, 1941 he was united in marriage to Lucille Anderson in Montevideo.  They lived in the Maynard and Montevideo areas where he farmed until retiring in 1989.  He was a member of the Maynard Presbyterian Church and had served as a church elder. He was currently a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home.

He is survived by daughters - Mary Lou Viken and her husband Norman of Boyd, MN and Naomi Herrlich and her husband Loren of Baxter, MN; 5 grandchildren - Joanne Struebing and her husband David of Cheyenne, WY; Gary Viken of Lancaster, OH; Randy Herrlich and his wife Cindy of Brainerd, MN; Nancy Herrlich of Brainerd, MN and Debbie Herrlich of Baxter, MN; 3 great grandchildren - Hunter Struebing, and Caleb and Cassidi Herrlich;  sisters - Leona Knoshal of Montevideo and Helen Hagen of Granite Falls, MN and a special friend - Wanda Djonne of Montevideo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille in 1982 and a brother Levern Charlet.
