Marjorie Kittelson, of Montevideo, died on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at the Chippewa Co. - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 75.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 1:30 PM at Jevnaker Lutheran Church with Rev. Gregory Gabriel officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening, with the family from 5 - 7 PM and with a prayer service at 7 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Marjorie Miladeen (Hildahl) Kittelson was born on June 21, 1930, in Montevideo, MN to Louis and Anna (Spletter) Hildahl. She was baptized on May 23, 1931, at the St. Pauls Lutheran Parsonage in Montevideo and confirmed on May 21, 1944, at First English Lutheran Church in Clarkfield, MN. She grew up in the Clarkfield area and graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1948. She worked as a nursing assistant at the Montevideo hospital until her marriage
to Leland Kittelson on December 17, 1949, at the Kittelson home farm. She lived her entire married life in rural Montevideo, where she was an active member of Jevnaker Lutheran Church, its women’s groups and altar guild. She was a member of the Minnesota Valley Thresherman’s Association and was the secretary of the Sons of Norway for many years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, crocheting, being with her family & friends and taking walks in the nature she so dearly loved.
She is survived by her husband Leland; 4 children: Lee Kittelson and his wife Karen of Fergus Falls, MN; Steve Kittelson of Amboy, MN; Mike Kittelson and his wife Char of Yankton, SD and Laurie Kittelson of Stillwater, MN; 5 grandchildren: Brian, Mark, Liv, Erik and Kjersti Kittelson;3 brothers: Howard Hildahl and his wife Joan and Marvin Hildahl and his wife JoAnn, both of Clarkfield, MN, and Rodney Hildahl and his wife Kathy of Boyceville, WI; a sister, Joyce Offerman and her husband Dave of Montevideo, MN; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Leroy Hildahl and by a sister, Jean Hildahl.
