Marjorie (Kief) Patterson

Marjorie Patterson, formerly of Montevideo, died on Monday, December 14, 1998 in Philadelphia, PA at the age of 82.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 21 at 10:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Jean Boese officiating.  Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to services on Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home.

Marjorie (Kief) Patterson was born on June 12, 1916 in Montevideo, MN to A.E. and Edna (Brumbaugh) Kief.  She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1934 as class Valedictorian and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1938. She was united in marriage to George McKeown (Pat) Patterson on May 13, 1944 in Denver, CO.  Marjorie received a graduate degree from Temple University. She was currently residing in Somerton, PA and had been a teacher at Comly School for many years.

She is survived by two sons: Dr. Wayne Patterson and his wife Marlene of Green Bay, WI and Bruce Patterson of Somerton, PA; two daughters: Pamela Hassan and her husband Sherif of Holley, NY and Anne Patterson of Bowie, MD; one brother, Wayne Kief of Montevideo; one nephew, John Givan of Montevideo; and cousins, Phyllis Youngren of Montevideo and Paul A. Kief of Bemidji, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George on April 2, 1984; and two sisters: Pauline Givan and Marion Kief in infancy.
